Each week during the season the Old Sculpin Gallery presents paintings, photographs, prints, graphics, and sculpture by groups of MVAA artist-members whose work meets the criterion of the Exhibition Jury. These individual shows have a Sunday evening opening reception and run for a week. An ongoing group member’s show runs throughout the season in the Mead gallery; each artist member has one to two current works on exhibit. All works exhibited in the gallery are available for purchase (excluding artwork from the Association’s Permanent Collection).

In order to submit your work to be juried please follow these steps:

Wednesday August 16, 2017  – Pre-screening: Email images of 5 finished works to with title, medium, and pricing point. These images will be used to determine which candidates should bring their work in for viewing. Please ensure that the images you submit are original, bold, and cohesive works – not a mixed portfolio. The pieces should be representative of your particular style and artistry.

Monday August 21, 2017 – Drop off for Jurying: If you are selected to bring you work in for the jurying process please complete this form and drop off the five pieces to the Old Sculpin Gallery. The pieces should be ready for sale with at least two framed/ready to hang. Unframed pieces should be protected with plastic.

Wednesday August 23, 2017 – Jurying: This is the day the jury will review work and applications.

Thursday August 24, 2017 – Notification: Artists will be notified by the gallery about the outcome of the jury selection process.
